Continue Study

The first and one of the perfect ways can be extending their study. Australia is known for its education system. It can be better if you get higher degrees from reputable institutes to enhance your skills and CV. You can go for a postgraduate degree after a bachelor's or a doctoral after a postgraduate. 

Requirements

  • You need to apply for a new student visa for that. 

  • New enrollment for the course is required. 

  • Evidence of funds

  • Renewal of Overseas Students Health Cover.

Complete Professional Year

If your course has options for a professional work experience course, then go for it. It will give you hands-on work experience, opportunities to get a job in the future, and make your CV stronger. Courses like engineering, IT, and accounting have this chance. You can also earn additional 5 points for your permanent residence visa. 

Temporary Graduate Visa

A temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) will allow you to stay and work after you complete your study. You need to have at least 2-years of education in Australia.

With a Graduate work stream, you can earn work experience and work on your skilled independent visa of 18 months duration. Post-study work stream allows students to stay for 2-4 years depending on the course.

Working Holiday Visa

You can apply for a working holiday visa. It will let you stay and work for 12 months. You can again extend it for another 12 months. There are two kinds of visas-subclass 417 and 462. 

Requirements

  • Age needs to be between 18-30 years.

  • For subclass 417- eligible countries- UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Finland, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Malta, Norway, Sweden, Taiwan, and the Netherlands. 

  • For subclass 462- China, Austria, Portugal, Singapore, San Marino, Turkey, United States, Chile, Hungary, Israel, Czech Republic, Indonesia, Luxembourg, Peru, Poland, Slovak Republic, Thailand, Spain, Uruguay, Slovenia, Vietnam, Argentina, and Singapore.

Permanent Visa

If your skill is on the skilled occupation list, you can apply for a permanent visa. The government’s skilled migration program will guide you for PR and citizenship in Australia. There are 4 different visas you can apply for.


1. Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189)

2. Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional Visa (subclass 494)

3. Skilled Work Regional Visa (subclass 491)

4.  Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186).
